Chocolate Coffee Cake (serves 12)
Ingredients & methods of Chocolate Coffee Cake

    · 1 cup of maida (refined flour)
    · 1 tea spoon baking powder
    · 1 cup castor sugar
    · ½ cup butter milk
    · 3 table spoon butter (I prefer amul salted butter)
    · 2 table spoons vegetable oil
    · pinch of salt
    · ½ cup cocoa powder
    · 2 eggs
    · 4 table spoons of coffee powder
    · ¾ cup of warm water
    · 1 tea spoon of vanilla essence

    · Pre- heat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius. Sieve maida , baking powder and salt for three times. In a bowl add warm water, coffee powder and cocoa powder. Churn with a hand mixer and keep it aside. In another bowl add eggs, sugar, butter milk and whisk for 3-4 minutes by hand mixer. Add the butter and vegetable oil.

    Now add the coffee and cocoa batter. Slowly add the maida and churn it with the hand mixer. Your cake batter is ready. This batter is semi liquid. Grease the baking tin and dust with the maida . Add the cake batter and bake it 40 -50 minutes.

    Once you have put the cake for baking after 20 minutes cover it with an aluminum foil and bake it for 20 minutes. This is to protect your cake from getting burnt from the top. Take it out and let it cool.
    Ganache:

    Ingredients:

    · ½ cup of fresh cream
    · ½ cup of cooking chocolate

    Method:
    · In a pan add both the ingredients and keep stirring on a low flame till the chocolate melts. Your ganache is ready.
    Assembling of cake and ganache:

    · Take out the upper skin of the cake as this is little hard. Pour ganache on this cake and with spatula cover it properly. Decorate with 5star chocolates. For the white cream frosting churn 1 cup of whipping cream with ½ cup of icing sugar and keep churning till peaks are formed. Put it in a piping bag with the nozzle and decorate.
