Leche Frita – Fried Milk (12 servings) This a Spanish dessert. Leche Frita means fried milk. It’s very famous in Spain and commonly available there.

Ingredients for Leche
1 liter of milk
4 table spoons of corn flour
½ cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick
½ orange rind
- In a bowl add 1 cup of milk and corn flour and whisk well. Heat the pan and add rest of the milk, sugar, cinnamon stick and orange rind. Let it boil for 10 minutes.
Now remove the orange rind and cinnamon stick and add the corn flour mixture. Keep stirring on a slow flame for 15 minutes. Let the Leche cool down. Set it in an air tight flat box. Freeze it for 4 hours. Slice them into big rectangle pieces or cubes.
- For the topping:
4 table spoon flour(maida)
1 cup water
1 cup bread crumbs
1 cinnamon Stick
¼ cup sugar
6 table spoons olive oil
1 brick Vanilla ice-cream
Caramel sauce/ chocolate sauce for topping
- Grind sugar and cinnamon stick together and make a fine powder. In a flat bowl add flour and water and mix well. On a flat plate arrange the bread crumbs. Dip the leche cubes in the flour mixture and coat with the bread crumbs from all the sides. Heat the pan add olive oil and pan fry the Leche. Let them brown from all the sides.
Place the pan fried Leche on a plate, sprinkle the powdered cinnamon sugar. Place vanilla ice cream by the side ad top it with caramel or chocolate sauce.
