Smoked Sweet Potato Falafel with Beetroot Hummus (6 servings)

This is a very healthy falafel, the smoked flavor of sweet potato with the nutrient values of beetroot does he magic.
Ingredients & methods of Smoked Sweet Potato Falafel with Beetroot Hummus

    · 2 large sweet potatoes
    · ½ cup overnight soaked and cooked chick peas / ½ cup tinned chick peas
    · ½ cup green peas boiled
    · ¼ cup of shallots
    · handful of mint leaves
    · handful of coriander leaves
    · 7 cloves of garlic minced
    · 1 zest of lemon
    · pinch of cinnamon
    · 2 table spoons of coriander powder
    · 1 table spoon of chili flakes
    · 1 table spoon of black pepper
    · 1 table spoon of garam masala
    · salt to taste
    · 2 table spoons of lemon juice
    · 2 table spoons of grated ginger
    · 3-4 table spoons of gram flour ( Besan)
    · few parsley
    · 1 charcoal + 1 tea spoon ghee

    · Pre-heat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius. Wrap the sweet potato in the foil and put in the oven for 50 minutes. Peel and grate it and keep it aside in a plate. Heat the charcoal till its little red. In a plate near the grated sweet potato place the charcoal and put some ghee on the charcoal and cover it. Let the aroma settle in the sweet potato. In a blender blend, everything together other than the sweet potato. Take the paste out and add sweet potato to it. Mix it well and make the falafel balls or tikkis. Now there are ways you can do with the tikkis.
    1. Can bake with brushing
    2. Can air fry
    3. Deep fry in a pan
    Beet root Hummus:

    Ingredients:
    · ½ cup boiled chickpeas or tinned chick peas
    · 2 medium sized beet root
    · 3 table spoon tahini
    · 2 table spoon roasted cumin powder
    · salt
    · 1 lime juice (if small then take 2)
    · 3-4 cloves of garlic
    · Steam or boil the beetroot. Add all the ingredients in a blender along with the beet root and make a paste. Hummus is ready. Garnish with chives /parsley

    Serve hot with the hummus, you can also serve with pita pocket bread.
