Ingredients & methods of Thai Paneer

    Ingredients for Paneer
    300 gm paneer
    1 table spoons vegetable oil
    2 table spoons soya sauce
    4 table spoons coconut milk
    1 ½ t able spoon red Thai paste
    1 table spoon brown sugar
    1 table spoon peanut butter
    salt to taste
    1 table spoon lime juice
    1 table spoon chopped garlic

    Method:
    In a bowl add all the ingredients other than the oil. Mix well and let it marinate for 20 minutes. In a pan add the oil and cook the marinated paneer till little brown and crispy.

    In a pan add oil and chopped garlic. Add the red Thai paste and sauté on a slow flame for a minute. Add water to it and mix well. Add peanut butter, coconut milk and mix it well till it comes to boil. Add soya sauce, brown sugar and mix well. Add tamarind paste, salt, black pepper and basil leaves.
    Add the cooked marinated paneer to the curry. Add a spoon of lemon juice.
    Garnish it with bird eye chilly, chopped basil and scallions.
    Serve it hot with long grain rice/jasmine rice.

    2 table spoons vegetable oil
    2 table spoons soya sauce
    ¼ cup peanut butter
    1 table spoon brown sugar
    2 table spoons chopped garlic
    1 ½ cup coconut milk
    1 table spoons tamarind paste
    1 ½ table spoons red Thai paste
    1 table spoon lemon juice
    3-4 chopped bird eye chilly
    1 tea spoon black pepper
    3 table spoons chopped basil
    few scallions to garnish
    salt to taste.
    ½ cup water
